She received her K-12 music teaching certification from Central Missouri State University, where she was also a graduate student. Locally Jody led music for a year at Our Lady of the Assumption, and seven years as the Director of Music for Children and Youth at Claremont Presbyterian Church. She taught at the Webb Schools and the Claremont Community School of Music, where she was the chair of the voice department for a year. She teaches private vocal and piano instruction from her home and K-5 General Music at Foothill Country Day School. She is married to Michael and is the mother of two young children. In her spare time she loves reading, scrapbooking and performing with community musical theatre. Although musical theatre has been a relatively late addition to her musical career, she has enjoyed several lead roles. Most recently Jody performed in a show at the Candlelight Pavilion in Claremont and in a wonderful review with RCCT; "Side by Side by Sondheim" at Victoria Gardens.
